Any employee can disconnect tools or pause data collection at any time. No approval required.

Data retention you set

Choose 30 days, 90 days, or 1 year. After that, metadata is permanently deleted.

How our AI actually works

We identify that a Slack message was sent in a project channel, a Jira ticket closed, or a Doc shared.

Context mapping

We understand relationships between events — e.g., ticket closed after 3 threads and 2 doc edits.

Contribution classification

AI categorizes the pattern as high-value work, coordination, or low-impact — by timing, collaboration, outcome.

Score calculation

Individual and team Contribution Scores are derived from these patterns.

We do not use your data to train general AI models. Your company's work patterns are used only for your own scoring calibration.

If we ever change this pledge, we'll notify you 90 days in advance — and you can export and delete everything with one click.

Can my boss read my Slack messages through WorkYield?

No. We have no access to message content — only metadata: that a message was sent, in which channel, when, and between whom.

What if I don't want my data included?

Opt out entirely or pause collection from your personal dashboard. Your manager sees only anonymized team data.

How is this different from employee monitoring software?

Monitoring tools record screens, track keystrokes, and read content. WorkYield analyzes work patterns — like GitHub's commit activity, but across your whole stack.

Where is my data stored?

You choose: US (us-east-1), EU (eu-west-1), or APAC (ap-southeast-1). Data never leaves your selected region.

Can we delete our data?

Yes. Account admins can request full deletion at any time. Completed within 30 days with a certificate of destruction.

Who owns the data?

You do. WorkYield is a data processor; your company is the data controller.
